The Lodge had excellent access to Glacier NP. The room that we stayed in was spectacular - especially the deck overlooking the stream.
Lack of a hot tub was a disappointment.
Room was 3rd rate, food 2nd rate everything overpriced. Thought hotel was on lake couldn't even see lake
Very beautiful location easy access to Glacier. Room was very comfortable and clean.
Nothing, I would book again.
The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We migrated out there to relax as the sun went down behind the mountain. We could hear the water in the darkness which was peaceful as we sat in the chairs outside
I thought it was a little weird that we HAD to be met by a bellboy who stood outside our wing of the lodge as we drove up
Very very poor value for the price ($200/night) - old decor, a postage size room, poorly lit, bedding not clean, worn bathroom, dirty carpet, no ice, tv with 9 stations, etc
You are paying through the nose for location. Nice rooms.
No Hottubs. Very expensive at $250 per night.
A little pricey but close to all the Glacier attractions.
Location for 1 night. The cowboy bellman named Christian was very nice and helpful and he worked outside in the cold. Desk clerks very bland.
Motel section across the street associated with St. Mary Lodge was the most expensive room we had in our 6 nights in Glacier Natl Park and Waterton Natl Park and the worst! Carpet was dirty with spots and crud. No tissues in the room. Mentioned lack of tissues on checkout and the young male clerk's resonse was: "Do you have a cold?" No apology or interest involved otherwise. Room was small and for the price of well over $200+ not worth it at all. Wished we had just driven up to Many Glacier and stayeds 2 nights in the Swiftcurrent Lodge (A much better value.) Would never reccomend this place to anyone. Better values are available.
Location, location, location--that's mostly it--at the eastern end of the Going to the Sun Highway, Glacier Nat. Park.
Overpriced for exceedingly ordinary rooms, far across the street from the lodge, with no ice except to walk across the very wide street, or road, to get it. Rooms small, price high.
Pictures show lodge and great views. Actual room in small building across the street
rooms were nice, modern and clean.
Just too expensive and dinner room had a nice menu but the steak was tough and the salmon was overcooked.
The location was perfect and the desk staff were excellent.
Location is very good to get access to Glacier Park
I wouldn't stay in hotel in future. Price doesn't match with quality at all
We did not get a room in the main lodge which was not indicated when we booked, outside entrance, also not indicated when we booked, steps up to room entracne with no railing, smoke detector was down and battery removed, bed seemed smaller than a queen.
Location is perfect for exploring St. Mary and Many Glacier areas, as well as Waterton.
We stayed in one of the cabins. The television was in the bedroom, which had no sitting chairs and no room for anything except the bed. You could not even fit suitcases in the room. Thus, we felt it would have been much better to have the television in the sitting room area, where there was a couch to sit on. Also, would have enjoyed chairs on the deck instead of benches.
